A powerful lab-derived lineage of Psilocybe cubensis, Z-Strain rose to prominence in the 1990s thanks to its lightning-fast colonization and robust flushes. This isolated version, prepared in-house by Spore Genetics, focuses on a single stable phenotype—producing medium to large fruits with signature caramel-to-gold caps and thick, fibrous stems.
Compared to the standard Z-Strain spore syringe, this isolated version offers single-phenotype consistency, aggressive rhizomorphic mycelium, and more predictable results under the microscope. Unlike many wild-type spores, this Z-Strain Isolate demonstrates enhanced uniformity and is favored by researchers for its dense, high-contrast spore loads and ease of use.
Designed for 5-grain jars, rye spawn, and bovine-based casing substrates, this isolate is a prime choice for beginner and advanced spore collectors alike.
