Growth Characteristics:
Moderate colonizer; produces thin, bright orange fruiting bodies (“clubs”) with a unique upright growth pattern.
Ideal Conditions
Colonization: 65–75°F (18–24°C) in bright ambient light
Substrates: White rice, enriched grain, nutrient broths, or insect-based substrates such as silkworm pupae
Fruiting: 60–70°F with 75–85% humidity
Lighting: Cordyceps thrives under high light exposure (12–16 hours/day)
Flushes: Typically 1–2 depending on substrate nutrition
Harvest Timing
Harvest when the clubs reach full length and develop a deep, saturated orange color. Avoid over-drying the substrate; consistent moisture improves fruit body density.
