Step by Step

Using the Master Isolate Vial

1Prepare Your Workspace

30ML Master Isolate Vial
  • Work in a clean, controlled area with minimal airflow.
  • A flow hood, still-air box, or glove box is ideal.
  • Wipe down surfaces, tools, and your hands with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
  • Lay out the vial, syringe, needles, and alcohol pad before starting.

2Remove Protective Cap & Inspect

  • Lift the white protective cap straight upward to expose the grey injection port.
  • If the cap is tight, gently pry from the edge and lift off. Discard the cap.
  • A light tint or fine microscopic particles are normal for isolates.
  • The solution should remain mostly clear and uniform after gentle swirling.

3Sanitize the Injection Port

Clean the grey port thoroughly with the included alcohol wipe or a fresh 70% isopropyl pad. Allow it to air dry completely before inserting any needle.

4Withdraw Solution Cleanly

  • Sanitize the port again just before use.
  • Attach the sterile drawing needle to your syringe.
  • Insert the needle through the port at a slight angle.
  • Keep the needle tip below the fluid line while drawing.
  • Pull back the plunger slowly to avoid bubbles and maintain clarity.
  • Withdraw the needle and recap the syringe as needed.

A 30ML vial yields roughly three 10cc syringes for extended study and repeated withdrawals.

Pressure Equalization

If withdrawal feels tight or the plunger resists:

  1. Insert the small yellow vent needle first.
  2. Leave it in place to allow a small amount of air into the vial.
  3. Insert the drawing needle alongside it and withdraw solution normally.

This balances internal pressure and makes drawing smoother, especially during multiple withdrawals.

Normal Appearance vs. When to Contact Us

✔ Normal

  • Mostly clear solution with a slight tint.
  • Fine specks, wisps, or strands suspended in the liquid.
  • Material disperses with gentle swirling and settles slowly.
  • No thick buildup, no rapid clouding.

❌ Not Normal

The vial stays sealed in normal use, so contamination shows through visual cues:

  • Heavy cloudiness or milkiness that develops over time.
  • Thick or slimy masses that don't break apart with swirling.
  • Bright or unusual colors — green, black, red, or pink.
  • Rapid changes in clarity or texture over a short period.

Keep It Stable

Master Vial Storage & Longevity

  • Store upright in a cool, dry location.
  • Best stability: keep refrigerated at 36–46°F (2–8°C).
  • Use within 90 days for best clarity and performance.
  • When properly stored, vials may remain stable for 12 months or longer.
  • Avoid heat, direct sunlight, and freezing temperatures.

Hard to Draw Solution

  • Use the yellow vent needle to equalize pressure.
  • Ensure the drawing needle tip stays below the fluid line.
  • Draw slowly to reduce resistance.

Particles or Strands in the Liquid

  • Fine particles and wisps are normal.
  • Thick, slimy, or highly pigmented material indicates contamination.

Liquid Looks Separated

  • Gently swirl to resuspend; avoid shaking aggressively.
  • Layering that does not mix may indicate a compromised vial.
