Cultivation Profile
Growth Characteristics:
Slow but steady colonizer that forms elongated, branching antlers rather than flat conks. Antler formation is triggered by low airflow/high CO₂, making it easy to shape morphology to your preference.
Ideal Conditions
Colonization: 70–85°F (21–29°C)
Substrates: Hardwood sawdust, supplemented sawdust blocks, or hardwood logs
Fruiting: 75–85°F with 90–95% humidity
Fresh Air:
Low FAE → tall antlers
Moderate FAE → thicker, shorter antlers
Fruiting Cycle: Extended; often 30–60+ days, depending on environment
Flushes: Typically 1–2 with proper substrate nutrition
Harvest Timing
Harvest when antlers reach your desired height and color deepens to a rich red-orange tone. Fully mature antlers thicken and develop a glossy finish.
