Cultivation Profile

Growth Characteristics:
Moderate colonizer; forms tight, overlapping fronds that develop into large, bouquet-style clusters. Prefers cooler fruiting temperatures and hardwood-rich substrates.

Ideal Conditions

Colonization: 65–75°F (18–24°C), shaded or low-light environment

Substrates: Hardwood sawdust, enriched sawdust + bran, or supplemented blocks

Fruiting: 55–70°F with 90–95% humidity

Fresh Air: Moderate FAE; avoid excessive early airflow to prevent premature frond formation

Flushes: Typically 1–2, with large, dense clusters when matured correctly

Harvest Timing
