Cultivation Profile
Growth Characteristics:
Very fast colonizer; produces dense clusters with striking golden caps. Performs exceptionally well in both low-tech and dialed-in indoor setups.
Ideal Conditions
Colonization: 70–80°F (21–27°C), warm temps encourage explosive growth
Substrates: Straw, sawdust, sugarcane bagasse, or enriched blocks (very forgiving strain)
Fruiting: 60–75°F with 80–95% humidity
Flushes: 1–3 depending on hydration and airflow
Harvest Timing
Pick clusters while caps are still cupped or just beginning to flatten. Younger fruits preserve color better and offer the best texture.

I am honest when I say I have grown this mushroom. The LC was gifted to me from a close friend who purchased from Spore Genetics. This is my first Gourmet Mushroom grow and well due to my mistakes this mushroom flushed only once but what a flush my wife thought it was a new flower type. It looked so unreal the vibrant canary yellow dazzled and danced in my head. I feared since it grew so quickly that the Spore print was no good. I still don't know I do plan to germinate. I can honestly say if it weren't for this Oyster mushroom o never would gone into the gourmet Mushroom business. Truly a delight to grow, photograph and to eat.
