The Orissa India Spore Syringe comes from the eastern Indian state of Odisha (formerly Orissa), where the strain was first collected by the ethnomycologist John Allen. Originally discovered in dung-rich environments possibly elephant dung, it has since become one very enjoyable Psilocybe cubensis strain to study worldwide.

What sets Orissa India mushroom spores apart is its massive fruiting bodies, some of the largest in the cubensis family. In microscopy studies, specimens show elongated, thick stems and broad, saucer-like caps that shift from deep golden to light brown. Notably, the strain often reaches its greatest size in the second and third flushes, making it especially fascinating for spore analysis and comparison across generations!

Resilient and versatile, Orissa India spores demonstrate a robust colonization profile across multiple substrates, including grain, manure, and coco coir. Its reputation for high yields, strong resilience against bacteria, and consistent spore production has earned it a permanent place in cubensis research collections.
